Telescopic lift worth $30,000 missing

A telescopic boom lift valued at $30,000 was reported missing from Hertz Equipment Rental, 2017 Rawley Road.

John Smith, of Smith Brothers Mechanical, said the lift was undergoing repairs at Hertz, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s incident report.

Smith has been trying to locate the lift since June 22, and reported the theft on Thursday.

If you cannot give more details than this, then don't even bother publishing this non-story in the paper.

At least flesh out the insurance fraud aspect.

I would think the Liability would be with Hertz since it was at their shop undergoing repair.
