Police say Augusta man shot at wife, her boyfriend

Richmond County sheriff’s investigators are looking for a man who they say shot a vehicle Tuesday in which his wife and her boyfriend were riding.

Vonsha Kinyoda Bennett, 36, is being sought on charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and two counts of aggravated assault.  SPECIAL

Shantel Bennett, 38, told investigators she was riding with Anthony Clark, 35, on Meadowbrook Drive around 5:30 p.m. when she spotted her husband, Vonsha Kinyoda Bennett, with whom she is separated, standing outside with a gun.

Investigators said the man fired twice.

Earlier Bennett said she had seen someone in a vehicle outside her house honking the horn, but she was unsure who was inside.
