A Johnston, S.C., man was the victim of a homicide early Sunday at a nightclub in Edgefield County.

Chief Deputy Coroner David Burnett said Marshall Butler Jr., 33, was pronounced dead about 1:30 a.m. at Stevie T’s nightclub, 2358 Edgefield Road. Butler was shot at least one time in the face, Burnett said.

Police took one person in for questioning.

Burnett said an autopsy will be performed in Newberry on Monday.

Guns and alcohol, while valuable on their own, deadly when combined.

Sometimes These Articles

just don't make sense. You mean to tell me that a Chief Deputy Coroner can only determine that he was shot at (least) one time in the face without an autopsy?

Man killed in shooting at Edgefield nightclub

Here is one way to lessen gun crime/shootings... If it occurs in a bar, if shooter is inder the influence, then 5 year minimum with no early release would be in order. Heck, even in the old cowboy days you had to give up your weapon upon entering.
