Man in jail, another in hospital after Aiken shooting

An Aiken man is in jail on an attempted murder charge and another man is in the hospital after a shooting Monday night in Aiken, authorities said.

A little after 11 p.m., shots were reported in the 200 block of Cherokee Street Southeast. When Aiken Public Safety officers arrived, they found Derrick Williams, 33, of Allendale S.C., in the front yard with a gunshot wound.

Williams was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital. Cpl. Jeremy Hembree said that he did not know Williams’ condition but that officers had administered CPR at the scene.

Investigators arrested Thomas Foreman II, 27, of Aiken, at the scene and charged him with attempted murder. He is in the Aiken County Detention Center.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Crimestoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME-SC. Callers will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.

where violence is the only option to dispute. Death is the final gotcha. Argument over. Violence is the only option to an income stream. Violence is the only option for entertainment. Who is teaching this course of study? Inquiring minds want to know.
