According to an incident report, the Walker Street resident notified officers about 2 p.m. Monday that a man dressed like an officer had gone to his home and said he was searching for a shotgun used in a murder case.
The resident told deputies the man took a bag of gold jewelry from a counter in his home and drove away in a black Cadillac sedan.
tNo deputies had been dispatched to the house, police said.
