A Martinez man told officers he was robbed this morning shortly after his release from jail.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s incident report, Dustin Lee White, 20, was walking on Walton Way near King Street around 1:30 a.m. when he was approached by two men demanding his belongings at gunpoint.

White told deputies that one of the men hit him in the face with his fist and took his cell phone and court paperwork. The man then hit him several more times in the chest and stomach before the two men fled in a blue vehicle.

Investigators said White had been released after being arrested on drug charges.

but not in CBD. Interesting conversation on a "community show" yesterday about the DDA, DEA, and numerous overlapping "funded committees an sub committees" that do nothing but talk and draw salaries. They talked about being billed for $350K for services for which they already pay ARC property tax. Interesting from local CBD business owner. he talked about individuals are groomed in small groups in advance of open discussion meeting to affect the rearranged outcome.

Question

They release prisoners at 1am? If so this is a very bad practice.
Get out of jail only to be beaten and robbed shortly after.
It would seem more feasible to release the prisoners not only in daylight but during office hours to insure the safety of the inmate and also less chance of a clerical error.

SFB, I doubt anyone being

SFB, I doubt anyone being released from jail cares what time their being released. If you go in at 9pm on a traffic charge and able to post bond at 11pm their not going to hold you because it's dark outside.
