Tiffany Brown, 29, is being held on a murder charge in connection with the stabbing death of Ollie Anderson.

Richmond County deputies called to the Gordon Motel at 3674 Deans Bridge Road found Ollie Anderson, 27, in the parking lot with a puncture wound to the upper left side of his chest, according to Deputy Coroner Johnny McDonald. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anderson’s cousin, who lives at the motel, told police that Anderson had called multiple times to be picked up from his home at Fox Trace Apartments. When his cousin came, he asked whether Anderson wanted medical attention and was told no. During the drive, Anderson became unresponsive.

The cousin told police the victim and his girlfriend, Tiffany Brown, have a young child.

Lt. Blaise Dresser said an investigation revealed Brown had stabbed Anderson at their apartment during a fight. She has been arrested and charged with murder.

McDonald said he was not sure what weapon wounded Anderson. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Atlanta.

That's The Last Straw....

We need an immediate and total ban on knives, at least on "assault knives" that can be used to kill people.

At the very least, we need tougher knife control laws.

You do know that obam was

You do know that obam was speaking to a group where the secret service required all utensils including plastic knives and forks be collected before obam appeared, as a precaution.

First he is stabbed off Deans Bridge Rd, then they say in Hephzibah, then they say Gordon Motel on Deans Bridge Rd....

The whole thing is like this.

This is one convoluted write up, doesn't anyone ever read over their crap before they send it out?

(Wonders if I should look over my crap before I save comment, nah)

And Ms Brown and the deceased
Unpublished

And Ms Brown and the deceased have a young child. The child's daddy is now dead and his/her momma is going to be incarcerated for the rest of her life.

Who brings up this child? What sort of existence can he/she expect?

And so the cycle perpetuates itself......onto a new generation.

Henrywalker I agree with you. But in any event she wasn't responsible for the death. The stabbing maybe, but the driver will be the one responsible for letting the guy die. Remember we are a nation of laws. And that means we can pick and choose who is legally responsible. Now all she needs is a taxpayer paid legal defense team.

Look folks, until small town newspapers throw in the towel...this is the kind of stuff you're going to get. Times are tough for newspapers like the AC.

"Times are tough for newspapers like the AC."

Not nearly as tough as they are for left-wing publications like the "New York Times," "Time," "Newsweek," and others. Then there's "MSNBC," and "CNN," the TV broadcast networks, and talk radio. There is a shrinking market for left-wing, biased information sources. By comparison, I think the AC is a gold mine. And yes, you can expect them to cover local homicides as a matter of responsible journalism.

People are being murdered and "school children" are reporting the news. If not for AP stories sound bites and the AC, local TV would already be out of business. They have nothing to offer but Brittany Spears clones and Jennifer Anniston impersonators/comedians. Where are they recruiting so called journalist and meteorologist these days.

I hadn't heard that any of those news sources were under bankruptcy protection, Harley. I was trying to defend the paper, as yellow as it may be.

I Didn't Say....

...."bankruptcy." I pointed out they are all having problems, mainly with subscriptions and advertising. "Newsweek," for example, just announced they'll stop publishing their printed magazine completely and move everything online. The NYT has suffered declining readership for years and has been laying off news staff.

Do you have an example or two of this "yellow" journalism you accuse the AC of?

Agreed. All print media are having problems...and my initial argument was that people are going to have to get used mediocre (at best) reporting especially from the small markets like the one the chronicle serves (bankruptcy protection, mind you).

I may have been using too broad of brush to describe the AC as practicing yellow journalism. I was thinking of the editorial pages. An example would be today's lead editorial. Hypocrisy and yellow at its finest.

Well

I for one jumped on the article about the insurance store attempted rape at 4:45 a.m. Come to find out it was P.M. Pretty critical part of the story, ya think. Geez, does no one proof anymore? Hells Bells I reread this post 5 times.
