We are doomed since our Government has turned to tyranny

Thomas Jefferson

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” (Quoting Cesare Beccaria)

To take from one because it is thought that his own industry and that of his father’s has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association—the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.

Ya never know

The shooter may have been a law abiding citizen and the guy in the hospital may have threatened him. It says they took the shooter into custody...he may have been released. The implication is that the shooter was justified in his actions because didn't disappear into the night, although of course, I could be wrong.

They were outside of the CBD.
Unpublished

"We dodged a bullet there". So to speak. Close. That what's important. But within the sphere of the Kroc Center Revitalization Authorized Zone or KRAZ.(formerly known as Harrisburg) Random Crime outside the CBD should not affect the safety of the CBD. Consolidation was to save the CBD. The CBD must be saved at all cost.(and we do mean cost) Therefore the crime stats for the CBD can remain low. Ergo the CBD stats will be used for promotion of the CBD and not the crime stats for the Consolidated City of ARC.
