A supporter of Richmond County sheriff’s candidate Lt. Robbie Silas reported Monday that $600 worth of campaign signs were stolen from his Goshen Plantation home and in the neighborhood during the weekend.

Deputies were called to the 4000 block of Burning Tree Lane around 9 a.m. Monday after a homeowner discovered that 11 small Silas for Sheriff signs had been removed from his residence. More large and small signs supporting Silas were taken from the subdivision.

According to an incident report, the homeowner believes about 100 signs were taken overnight Sunday.

I seen somebody putting up
Unpublished

I seen somebody putting up signs in that area (Goshen) yesterday...I assumed they were putting them up. I can't remember which signs they were Peebles or Silas. Anyway, its a shame you have people like that who have nothing better to do.

No Surprise here

This has been a battle raged all day today with "in-your-face" tactics. The average voter has no idead the lengths that have been gone to removing, defacing, and tearing down Robbie Silas signs. They have not been reported, before this, because of the usual Ya'll have been doing the same thing. Well we haven't. Keep in mind, you are voting for the top law enforcement official for Richmond County. If the message was not clearly sent not to do this, how does that reflect on what to expect in the future.

Obviously made little

Obviously made little difference in the final outcome. Sad though that people will sink this low.
