An Augusta beauty supply store is out three hair weaves after two women and a man waited for the cashier to turn her back and then ran off with them.

At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, two women and a man entered S Beauty Supply at 2708 Peach Orchard Road and shopped around the section of the store which held Remi Touch hair weaves, a Richmond County sheriff’s report said.

One woman told the cashier she was going to her car to get her credit card and left. The report said the other woman and the man came to the front of the store, the man carrying the hair. When the cashier turned her back, she heard the the door open and turned around to see the three driving away.

Wouldn't the charge be more

Wouldn't the charge be more like shoplifting than robbery?

Wonder if it's the same group

Wonder if it's the same group from last month. I've seen the Chris Rock documentary on this industry, and there's a high demand. Thieves in India will cut the hair of children while at a theater or sleeping at home.

Robbery....shoplifting......d

Robbery....shoplifting......don't make no never mind. With the new GA law on the books ain't nobody going to jail anyway. We've delcared open season on retail stores for shoplifting and snatch and run robberies. Every store ought to post an armed guard at the door with instructions to shoot thieves like this since the courts won't do anything to them.

I wish, dichotomy. Last I

I wish, dichotomy. Last I learned, in SC you can't shoot someone coming into your own home unless you feel threatened. Of course we were taught how to prove we felt threatened, should the situation arise, just to make certain we were not prosecuted for shooting an uninvited intruder.

Won't Be Long

Before thugs will be holding you up with scissors and clippers and taking your hair.

The world really is getting crazy.

The punishment should fit the crime.

They should be required to make appropriate restitution. Locked up until they grow enough hair to repay their debt in hair. This would require the payment of the stolen hair, court costs, jail costs, and a little more for punitive damages.
