Teen wanted in attempted house break-in

Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a 17-year-old charged with attempted burglary and obstruction.

Authorities said Ricardo Devon Simmons attempted to break into a home on Crawford Avenue just after 1 p.m. Wednesday and fled when officers arrived. He is described as a black male, five feet five inches tall and weighing 112 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Investigator Sean Cochran at 706-821-1020.

Such a young age to start an

Such a young age to start an illegal hobby! It is tough for members of the public to lend a helping hand though, as his photo is not published, I assume because of his age? Hopefully he will learn his lesson and repent before he grows older and be bolder to try new and more challenging crimes. Who knows, from robbing a house to hijacking a car next?
