Authorities seek help in finding burglary suspect

Richmond County investigators are asking for assistance in their search for a burglar after new evidence identified him as a suspect.


Investigator Darren Massey said Eddie Dee Geiger, 40, has been listed as a suspect in the March 27 burglary of Augusta Railroad Salvage.

Investigators were called to the scene after the business on Gordon Highway was burglarized. Money and an air compressor were reported missing.

Warrants have been issued for Geiger on the charge of burglary.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080.

Oh dear, hope the business on

Oh dear, hope the business on Gordon Highway is not suffering any major impact on their services and revenue due to this incident. Wonder what the burglar intends to do with the air compressor. Perhaps sell it off to a distributor or utilizes its parts or accessories?
