Four masked men robbed an Augusta man and woman at gunpoint early Saturday, police say.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report, a 38-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were in a home’s driveway in the 1100 block of Maxwell Street about 1:30 a.m. when four men wearing masks, dark shirts and pants surrounded them.

Three of the men were carrying semi-automatic pistols and one had a modified assault rifle with the stock cut off, the report said.

The man was told to get down on the ground and give up his pants and keys. The man said he complied and that his pants contained about $600.

The woman said she was also told to lie on the ground and that the gunmen took her purse, which contained about $300.

Both victims told police that one gunman said “Bloods for life” as the four ran away.

Yeah, it's not outside the realm of possibility that these thugs knew these folks had that amount of cash on them. One more thing...I think the "Bloods" wouldn't be so tough if they didn't have their guns and didn't outnumber their victims!

I swear RIchmond COunty

I swear RIchmond COunty officers need to stop cruising around smoking weed and picking up prostitutes (which i witnessed myself sitting on my front porch in Harrisburg) and spend more time dealing with this gang crap.....i think the police are working right along with all these criminals bc they sure as hell aren't fighting them until a good upstanding citizens rants and raves....all of this is so ridiculous.

Punks

They should have hollered "punks for life" because that is all they are. They are nothing and never will be anything. They're just too stupid to make it in the real world.

And if the big tough "bloods" will take anyone from Augusta, I have certainly lost all fear of the bloods. They must have lowered their standards to punk status.

Officers talk to prostitutes

Officers talk to prostitutes all the time.

If you want to know what's going on in a neighborhood, the prostitutes know better than anybody. They are the ones that are out on the street and can see everything.

This is nothing new.

Street walker.

We have a new street walker lately in our neighborhood. She's been causing some near accidents just strolling along. Cars have been nearly running into each other due to the driver's craning their necks and trying to get a better look at the tall, slender gal. They might not want to look too close. She's a he.

The crime in Augusta is getting worse and it's going to keep going down hill if our local government doesn't wake up and pull their heads out of the sand and do something to see that the citizens are protected. The criminals must know nothing will really happen to them even if caught. They will be in and out in a matter of hours to commit the same crime over again.

"They will be in and out in a matter of hours to commit the same crime over again."

Hey, that's the new official state law. Contact your illustrious state legislative delegations. They have officially sanctioned in state law what our prosecutors, judges, and prison officials have been doing for 20 years or more. I don't know the official title of that law they just put on the books but it should have been called "The no jail for nuttin' we give up and the citizens are on their own act".
