Laptops, money stolen from Augusta medical office

Police are asking for help after a burglary at a Wheeler Road medical facility overnight Friday.

Investigators were called Saturday to Augusta Oncology Center, 3696 Wheeler Road, after employees arrived and found the damage.

Investigator Darren Massey said the burglars tried to pry open several doors at the business before opening a window.

Inside the facility, the burglars ransacked desk drawers and the pharmacy and tried to pry open more doors.

Massey said three laptops and $245 were reported stolen. No drugs from the pharmacy were missing.

Police believe the incident occurred between 2 and 4 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information is asked to contact Massey at (706) 821-1076.
