Driver sought in hit and run fatality

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a fatal hit and run Saturday morning.

Police said Adrian L. Gardenhire, 53, of Hephzibah, was walking in the 4300 block of Deans Bridge Road about 2:30 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The vehicle was described as a champagne-colored Ford Explorer or Expedition.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080.
