Benjamin Justin Hixon faces 13 criminal charges after a high-speed chase, including two counts of endangering a child by driving under the influence and one count of littering for reportedly throwing beer cans on the highway.

A criminal indictment returned Tuesday says that Hixon fled from Richmond County deputies while driving drunk June 12. Riding with him were two children under the age of 14, according to the indictment.

The other 10 charges against Hixon are: fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer; driving under the influence of alcohol; driving with an excessive blood alcohol concentration; obstruction of a law enforcement officer; reckless driving; violation of the open container law; violation of the child restraint law; speeding; improper passing; and driving without a seat belt.

Glenn Hills Drive Chase.

When are we going to find out who fled a deputy after a routine traffic stop on Glenn Hills Drive and then approximately 10 officers were chasing on Glenn Hills Drive this week at 7:30 in the morning until he/she slammed into a curb on Deans Bridge Road, flattening his or her tires. Have I missed that news report?

Autumn I found it. He was also arrested June 13th. Type his name in your browser and search. It looks like this might be the same as this arrest. Why is the chronicle waiting so late to post it?I saw the story and his picture in the jail report.

They should double the

They should double the sentence of anyone driving recklessly while attempting to elude. That would stop most people from even trying, and give justification to chase the others since if they are running, they are likely a higher level criminal.
