NORTH AUGUSTA - A 19-year-old is being treated after being shot in the abdomen at North Augusta Garden apartments Friday morning.

According to a news release, officers were called to the apartment complex on Hugh Street for reported gunshots around 12:20 a.m.

A man at the complex told authorities he had heard four to five shots and then saw a man walking around bleeding.

Officers located a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Georgia Avenue and located the victim, Isiah Keiron Rouzan, inside.

Rouzan was transported to Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

Police have not said if the shooting is related to another shooting in the parking lot at 1:44 a.m. Tuesday. According to an incident report, officers responded but could not locate any cooperative witnesses.

No injuries were reported in that shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Augusta Department of Public Safety at (803) 441-4278.
