The chicken was valued at $4.07 and the steaks cost $15.17, according to a Richmond County sheriff’s incident report. The woman had cut the price and UPC tags off lower-priced items and affixed them to the meat, according to the report.
She went through a self-checkout lane, but was caught anyway. Bi-Lo managers did not press charges against the women but said she was banned for life from the store at 2803 Wrightsboro Road.
