The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery Wednesday evening at a Barton Chapel Road liquor store.

According to an incident report, two men with what appeared to be handguns entered Barton Chapel Package Shop, 2372 Barton Chapel Road, shortly after 10 p.m. and demanded money.

The men ran away with the cash toward Trinity Manor Apartments.

The robbery was reported to the sheriff’s office Thursday.

the robbery was reported 9

the robbery was reported 9 minutes after the story broke? that makes no sense. The robbery happened last night after 10:30. AC reports it at 12:21pm today. Then the robbery was reported to the sheriff dept at 12:30pm today. I am confused here. Why wait till today to report the robbery to the sheriff dept. then the story breaks on AC 9 minutes before it is reported. huh?
