Indictments in 2 Augusta slayings

Four people were indicted this week on charges of murder for two separate deaths.

The first occurred Jan. 7, when Albert Dawayne Hawkins was fatally stabbed by Catherine Denise Gibson, according to an indictment.

Gibson is charged with malice and felony murder, in addition to possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

Also this week, Deandre Marquette Brown, Willie Edward Hooper and Ronny Rashad Bonner were charged in connection with the March 29 death of Charlie Jones III.

An indictment charges all three with felony and malice murder, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, burglary and aggravated assault.
