About 4:30 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to the 1900 block of Broad Street after a report of gunshots. When they arrived, they were told by Travis Sentel Martin, 32, that he had gotten into a fight with his neighbor. Martin told deputies the neighbor got a handgun from his vehicle and fired several shots at Martin’s apartment.
According to the police report, Martin and the deputies looked for bullet holes but found none.
The next day, however, Martin noticed a bullet hole on the jamb of his back door. Another deputy was called out and he found two more bullet holes on a closet door inside of the apartment and several impact marks on the concrete steps at the back door.
As of Tuesday night, no charges had been filed.
