Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were searching for an armed robber Sunday night.

About 7:30 p.m., a man entered the Family Dollar at 1991 Broad Street wielding a silver and black gun and demanded money from the register.

Deputies said he was last seen getting into an car, but no description was available. The man is described as black, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 to 180 pounds, wearing dark colored pants and shirt, a gray jacket, sunglasses and a black hat. He had facial hair on his chin.

Countyman moves the CBD to reflect the flavor of the day. Don't you rail about the Kroc center all the time? That family Dollar is only a few hundred yards from there. Keep moving the lines...
