Sheriff’s deputies sent to the 3400 block of Columbia Highway around 3:45 a.m. because of gunshots found 19-year-old Richard Tice, of Aiken, had been shot in the hip, Sgt. Jason Feemster said.
Tice told investigators he heard gunshots and that when he began running, he discovered he had been hit. Authorities do not have any suspects. Feemster said Tice changed his story a few times, so investigators are not sure what exactly happened.
Tice is expected to be released from Medical College of Georgia Hospital today, Feemster said.
