Richmond County authorities are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station Monday night.

According to Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Blaise Dresser, a black man entered Gary’s Get It to Go, at North Leg and Milledgeville roads, about 8:30 p.m. and pointed a handgun at the cashier, demanding money.

Police said the gunman, whose face was covered with a black shirt, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses said the bandit drove away in a blue SUV.
