A woman accused of encouraging a fight between two Academy of Richmond County students April 17 surrendered to authorities Wednesday.

Laura Leah Davis, 31, is charged with criminal trespass, simple battery, simple assault, reckless conduct and disrupting a public school, according to Patrick Clayton, the chief of the county school system’s Department of School Safety and Security.

Clayton said Davis “involved herself in an affray in front of the school,” a fight that was captured on a cellphone video and posted online. At one point, Davis pulled one student off another so the second student could attack, Clayton said.

The two students involved were not injured, Clayton said.

What was she doing on school

What was she doing on school property? Don't all schools require visitors to sign into the office? Was she a parent? Not an employee with the criminal tresspass charge.

What is sadder than this is the fact that the publicity this has generated will insure that she gets an army of lawyers defending her. My guess is George Bush will be blamed somehow.

Role models at home usually

Role models at home usually lead to similar behavior for the kids out in public; especially at schools.

And people wonder why we have problems with kids nowadays....

My goodness

It just goes to show how the breakdown of parents with common sense is affecting our children.
