An Aiken man is in jail Friday after police found several stolen vehicles and parts on his property, authorities said.

Larry Joe Williams, 49, of Chavous Road, was charged with five counts of operating a chop shop and five counts of receiving stolen goods, according to Aiken County Sheriff’s Capt. Troy Elwell.

Elwell said investigators were able to obtain a search warrant after a stolen car was found on Williams’ property.

While conducting a search, deputies found five stolen cars and various auto parts.

Williams is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center awaiting bond.
