Richmond County deputies seek identity of man who tried to steal garden tiller from Augusta home

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying a man officers say tried to steal a garden tiller from a home near Greens Road.

The man in this surveillance photo tried to steal a garden tiller from a home near Greens Road, the Richmond County Sheriff Office said.


The man didn’t get away with the tiller at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday because the homeowner arrived, prompting the man to flee on foot. The suspect is described as black with a light complexion, low haircut and receding hair line.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call sheriff’s Investigator Sean Cochran at (706) 821-1020. Callers may remain anonymous.

It's great that they have any photo, but can't this one be enlarged so we can see his face better?
