Richmond County sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Carrier said Andrew Dunn, 17, and Derrell McNair, 18, robbed two individuals of money and jewelry on Walker Street around 4:30 p.m.

The two men were then fleeing when Dunn was shot in his buttocks on East Watkins Street.

Investigators said they were unable to locate the shooter.

McNair has been booked into the Richmond County Jail on possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and four counts of armed robbery.

Sgt. Bill Leisey said two of the armed robbery charges are from previous incidents.

Investigators are awaiting Dunn’s release from the hospital before pressing charges. Leisey said Dunn was also an accomplice on McNair’s previous armed robbery charges.

More charges for previous robberies are possible.

McNair is only 18 and already a convicted felon before these charges. Sad.

How many robberies have these

How many robberies have these two (Andrew and Derrell) committed PRIOR to this incident that were either not reported or remain unsolved? I know some people that were robbed a gunpoint coming out of restaurant on Broad a few months ago. In that crime, the assailants wore 'sweatshirts' to try to obscure their identities. The victims were afraid to testify.

Why are businesses afraid to start anew in downtown?

more than sad ICL, it's

more than sad ICL, it's outrageous.. how is it we see so many felony convicts that are 18 and back out on the streets again to commit more crimes.. just a dang shame.. I can think of a better term, but it would get censored...

Hey, under the new law GA

Hey, under the new law GA just passed MOST of these little hoodlums will be back out on the streets before the ink on the charge sheets is dry. Apparently it's too expensive to actually lock them up so they are just going to keep turning them loose on us to do what they will. Too bad the "unknown" shooter didn't shoot to kill. I think that is what the legislature wants us to do with the rest of them.

It sounds very much like one

It sounds very much like one of the victims is the one who shot this fool in the butt... I wonder if his sagging pants hindered his getaway.
Don't you just love "sudden justice"?

Exactly right dichotomy! It

Exactly right dichotomy! It won't be long until they commit murder. That's just the way it is with criminals, they progress--to worse and worse.................................just a matter of time..

Long jail sentence. Do you

Long jail sentence. Do you hear me judges? It's time to clean up the streets. If we need to build more prisons then so be it. I'll pay my wshare. You judges must stop letting these vicious criminals back out on the street to prey on law abiding folks.

Smart move waiting til he's

Smart move waiting til he's released to charge him. That way we don't have to foot the medical bills.

I doubt either of the victims shot the perp unless they, too, were a convicted felon. Otherwise that info and the gun would've come out in the investigation. If the victim/potential shooter was a convicted felon, they very well could've dumped the gun before calling the cops. Strange that nothing is mentioned of the victims.

This is why we need better

This is why we need better gun control... Proper stance, technique, grip, and target sight picture would have prevented a buttock wound. Now this guy is forced to limp the rest of his life. Also Connie will miss him while he is in jail... She too is a victim.

Where oh where is reverend Al
Unpublished

Where oh where is reverend Al when the black community needs him to expose the constant jailing of black youth for trivial things? I notice they didn't post the 17 year olds picture. I guess it was to protect him from a vicious society trying to keep him down.

docroc: Funny still, but

docroc: Funny still, but Connie's man won't walk with a limp unless he does so with his natural "thug walk". It's his buddy who got shot, and there's no mugshot of him on here yet.

I am so happy, these 2 thugs

I am so happy, these 2 thugs have been caught. I'm so tired of black on black crimes. I pray that the judge throw them under the prison.
I knew one day they would get caught and all i can say now is hallelujah.
