Editor's note: Because of incorrect information given to The Augusta Chronicle, the age of Tyasia Phillips was incorrect in this story. In court March 30, her father said she was 4. This story has been changed to reflect this.

A 4-year-old remained in critical condition Tuesday after being abused Sunday.

Investigators were called to Doctors Hospital, where the child had been brought about 9 p.m. She was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital with bleeding in the brain.

Her father, Willie Clifford Jones, 22, of the 2900 block of Gordon Highway, was jailed Monday on a charge of first-degree cruelty to children.

Only the lowest life form on

Only the lowest life form on the planet would hurt a child. In fact this Willie Clifford Jones is not human. I'd like to think there's a special place in hell for these beasts.

If he gets sent to the big

If he gets sent to the big house, convicts actually don't really care for people who harm children and deal with them accordingly. Well if hes allowed into the general populace...

I really pray this baby has family that is visiting and supporting her. My heart breaks just thinking of her physical and emotional pain.
