Tieshia Laquitta Weaver, 20, was charged with third-degree assault and battery, possession or marijuana, and unlawful conduct toward a child, according to a North Augusta Public Safety incident report.
Weaver tried to start a fight with a woman parked outside the Waffle House at 960 Edgefield Road about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, the report says.
Weaver used her burgundy Toyota to strike the vehicle of a 25-year-old Johnston, S.C., woman two or three times, according to the report. The father of Weaver’s baby was in the car with the Johnston woman.
When the woman got out to inspect the damage, Weaver took off in her Toyota, the report says. A passerby alerted police that Weaver had gone to the Circle K at 1035 Edgefield Road.
At the gas station, a clerk told police that Weaver left the baby inside with an employee. Weaver confirmed that to police, adding that she didn’t know the person, according to the report.
An inventory of her vehicle turned up plastic bag with seeds and green leaves believed to be marijuana, the report says. The items were sent to a lab for testing.
