6 fire extinguishers stolen from vacant building in Augusta

An Augusta business reported six fire extinguishers stolen sometime this month, police said.

Chelsea Thompson, of the Augusta Housing Authority, told deputies the fire extinguishers, with a total value of $200, were taken from a vacant property in the 1600 block of Hunter Street, a Richmond County sheriff’s report said.

An investigation revealed no sign of forced entry.
