Justin Demond Stallworth, 23, of Augusta, was arrested Friday in connection with a bank robbery at Georgia Bank and Trust on Walton Way.

Bernard Croker, 41, believed to be from Charleston, S.C., James Damon Lamar White, 33, of Atlanta, and Justin Demond Stallworth, 23, of Augusta, were all taken to Richmond County Jail shortly after the incident, police said.

Lt. Blaise Dresser said Croker went into the bank at 11:49 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. He received an undisclosed amount and ran to a car which was waiting nearby with White and Stallworth inside.

Deputies were able to track them using detectors in the money and cornered the car at Merry Street at Central Avenue about 10 minutes after the robbery occurred.

Croker, White and Stallworth are all charged with felony robbery by intimidation, Dresser said.

Investigators said they are not sure if the robbery is related to the unsolved robbery at Queensborough Bank on Tobacco Road earlier this month.

@Cobalt, The writer was just following a basic tenet of the writer's style manual which states you can't have just one paragraph. Since there was nothing left to say, they just repeated the first paragraph, in part. LOL.
