“PK Management and the owners express their sympathy to the family and friend of Mr. (Truemaine) Jones in the tragic shooting last week. We will continue to work actively with law enforcement to ensure that the perpetrators of this crime are brought to justice. This property has an ongoing crime prevention program and we are seeking additional strategies to ensure our residents safety. Since the matter is still under investigation, we have no further comment.”
River Glen, a 192-unit housing complex on East Boundary, is considered Section 8 housing but is not owned by the Augusta Housing Authority.
The property is currently owned by River Glen Investors of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and managed by PK Management of Charlotte, N.C.
Jones, 27, was discovered dead from a gunshot wound in a parking lot at the complex on Feb. 5.
On Jan. 14, deputies discovered the body of Doniel Hicks, 24, also fatally shot.
