Editor's note: An earlier version of this story misidentifed the school at which the suspect was a student.

A student was being held in Richmond County jail Monday night after bringing a BB gun to Josey High School during a basketball game, police said.

Antonio Rodrick Turner, 18, a Laney High student, was found with a gun during the basketball game at Josey on Friday night, said Patrick Clayton, the Richmond County school system’s chief of safety and security.

Turner is charged with disrupting a public school and possession of a weapon on school grounds, the jail Web site says.

No, he'll likely quit school

No, he'll likely quit school and be court ordered to attend free GED classes where he can continue the same behavior. Because forcing people to get an education works so well. If it was in fact, a real handgun, he should be banished from any and all schools in the state of GA forever. Why should anyone who wants to learn and get an education have to worry about people like this?
