The man who was pinned between his car and a tree is still in serious condition Sunday at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Jerome Barry, 29, took a corner too sharply in the 3600 block of Massoit Drive at 2:41 a.m. Saturday and rolled his car into a tree.

Barry was charged with failure to maintain lane, and police are waiting for the results of a blood test to see if he was under the influence, Richmond County sheriff’s Capt. Scott Gay said.
