Richmond County sheriff’s investigators are searching for a man who robbed Queensborough Bank on Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Dan Carrier said the man entered the bank at 2550 Tobacco Road around 11:40 a.m. and walked out with the money, headed toward Gibraltar Drive.
Investigators have reviewed surveillance video and said it does not appear that the robber was armed.
Deputies combed the neighborhoods surrounding the bank for the robber, who was black and wearing a white shirt, sunglasses and a white hat with a dollar sign.
Police dogs tracked the bandit to a neighborhood across Tobacco Road toward Gibraltar Drive, where, investigators believe, a vehicle was waiting.
He has been described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 140 to 150 pounds.
Isn't that the same bank that was robbed not long ago?
Know what's funny? No one commented on this bank being robbed....again except me. It's just such a common thing to have banks knocked off in that area everyone just kind of yawns.
Well I did read it yesterday.......this is not good ...we are getting numb to this news.:(
