Christopher Nathaniel Parker, 24, of the 100 block of Million Avenue in New Ellenton, was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, according to an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Parker was sought in the killing of 18-year-old Huran Akil Dix, who was found Saturday in the woods off Dry Branch Road with a gunshot wound in the back.

Parker was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Office, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and authorities in Pooler. He was being held Thursday night in the Chatham County Jail while waiting extradition to Aiken County.

Marrio Parker, 31, also of the 100 block of Million Avenue, and Pebbles Nichole Moyle, 28, of the 200 block of Jewel Street, were charged in connection with the killing earlier this week.
