An 18-year-old was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the back after a drive-by shooting in Warrenville on Friday.
At 7:46 p.m., Aiken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Wattle Street, according to an incident report.
There they found Colby Reed, of Bath, S.C., with a single gunshot wound in his lower back. He told officers a black male had shot him from an SUV.
Police spoke with a neighbor who said he had heard the gunshot and came outside to see a white male leave in a truck.
Reed was transported to Medical College of Georgia Hospital where his condition was unavailable.
