Several indictments returned by a grand jury this week detail violent acts committed last year in Richmond County.

Desmond Larry Bates is charged with two counts aggravated assault for shooting Arlicia Gilcrease and Quiara Dukes on Oct. 16, an indictment shows. Bates is also charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer.

Also charged with aggravated assault is Elmer Lewis Wilson, who is accused of stabbing William Crawford on Aug. 21. Wilson has an additional charge of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

A single charge of aggravated assault was brought against Alexander Lamont Morris, who reportedly cut Calvin Richard with a box cutter on Nov. 7.
