A total of 26 pairs of earrings were reportedly stolen from an unsecured display case, bringing the loot’s total value to $5,476, police said.

An employee told deputies that between 5 and 9 p.m. Jan. 16, the earrings were taken from an unsecured case at Kay Jewelers, 3450 Wrightsboro Road, according to a Richmond County sheriff’s report.

The employee said there were no cameras recording the incident.
