North Augusta burglar sought

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify an individual wanted for burglary.

According to a news release, at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, a young man targeted a residence in the 100 block of County Place Drive, North Augusta.

He knocked on the front and side doors of the home and waited for a response. When no one came to the door, he then entered the garage and stole two leaf blowers valued at $1,000.

He then got into a vehicle, which was driven by a second suspect, and left the scene. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera that had been installed by the homeowner.
