A man was robbed of $1,000 at gunpoint outside his apartment Sunday night, police said.

The man, of the 3200 block of Wrightsboro Road, told deputies he was walking behind his apartment building around 9 p.m. when another man approached him wearing a black bandana over his face and demanded money while wielding a black handgun, a Richmond County Sheriff’s report says.

The victim complied, handing over his wallet, and the gunman fled on foot.
