One man was shot at during a home invasion early Sunday morning.

William Marx, 50, or the 1100 block of Murphy Street, told deputies he was sleeping when two men kicked in his front door and entered his house around 4:30 a.m., Richmond County Sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas said in an email.

After going through the house and removing a 36-inch flat screen TV, Marx said one of the men fired a gun at him, hitting his bedroom wall.

No one was hurt and the men fled in an unknown direction, said Silas.

If the homeowner was trained

If the homeowner was trained and armed, this article would have had such a better headline.
