Terrell Randy Johnson, 26, was arrested in connection with a string of robberies in Richmond County.

Terrell Randy Johnson, 26, and Asia Michett Lewis, 24, were taken to the Richmond County jail early Saturday. Steven Eugene Cross, 31, was already in jail on an unrelated charge.

Lt. Blaise Dresser said Johnson and Cross are accused of committing four armed robberies of convenience stores: the Triangle Gas on Deans Bridge Road, which was robbed twice, on Oct. 27 and Nov. 7; a Circle K on Wheeler Road on Nov. 12; and Jack’s Grocery on Mike Padgett Highway on Nov. 13.

Lewis claimed to be a witness to one of the robberies but was later found to be involved, Dresser said.

In each case, a white man armed with a shotgun or rifle and a black accomplice robbed the stores while wearing dark clothing and masks, according to the incident reports.

Cross, a convicted felon, was arrested Jan. 4 because he was caught shooting a rifle in his front yard. Cross now faces 14 charges: five counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, four counts of armed robbery, four counts of possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, and one count of discharging of firearms on or near a public highway.

Johnson faces four counts of armed robbery and four possession of firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, and Lewis faces one count of armed robbery, according to the jail.

Thugs / Worthless Violent

Thugs / Worthless Violent Individuals To Our Society....Different Races and Sexes....ALL Should be in jail for the remainder of their lives.

These repeat offenders with previous felony convictions should not be walking our streets. Although I really am not a fan of law suits, etc. I bet if you could start suing the judges who fail to keep violent offenders behind bars or DA's who work out plea deals when these criminals make it back to our streets and harm others, things would change quickly.

Great job RCSO CID Division. Thanks for taking 3 more violent criminals off of our streets.

You just can't add smarts to

You just can't add smarts to these people brain cells. Someone should have been there with a weapon and did away with them. Asitis I agree with everything you say and will add they need to be locked in a cell and never never let out except to be buried. Look at that tattooed wonder-Don't you want to look like him? Pathetic.

JRC2024, I agree as well.

JRC2024, I agree as well. Murderers and Violent Offenders, especially those who commit crimes such as armed robbery, rape or violent assaults on police officers should be permanently removed from society upon conviction. They should be placed in a small jail cell with no liberties, outside time, or anything that will cost the tax payers more money. They should be allotted emergency medical care, nothing more. They should also have the option to choose the death penalty at any time. Of course murderers should be put to death from the start.

Neighbors pet kills another person’s pet; law requires the animal to be put down. Frankly, if a human kills another human, he/she should be put down.
