A 19-year-old Augusta man arrested Wednesday was connected to a May 2 shooting that injured one person, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident reports.

Christopher Curtis Foreman was charged with aggravated assault, possession of firearm or knife during commission of a crime, possession of firearm by first offender and armed robbery. His bond was set at $13,600.

On May 2, police responded to the 1900 block of Watkins Street where Chordara Willingham, 19, of the same address, was found lying down in the front yard with a gunshot wound to his chest. One man said he heard gunfire at a home in the 600 block of Eve Street but did not see Willingham get shot.

In a May 3 incident report, the victim’s brother told police that Foreman was responsible for shooting Willingham.
