Two Washington, Ga., men told the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office they were robbed at gunpoint after they tried to buy marijuana in the 1700 block of Valley Park East.

The victims, Justin Alan Wilson, 22, and Brandon Ray Webb, 23, told officers they were on Wrightsboro Road about 9 p.m. Monday when a man approached and asked them if they would like to purchase some marijuana.

The men followed the suspect, known as “Bradon,” to Valley Park, where they gave him their money. Before handing over the marijuana, the suspect fled, police said.

The victims told officers they were returning to their vehicle when three men with handguns approached and demanded their clothes and money.

According to the report, the two victims wished to prosecute for the robbery but did not wish to prosecute or have a report done in reference to “Bradon” and the theft of their money for the marijuana purchase.

Directly across the road from

Directly across the road from the ASU Sports Complex.

Were the three robber dudes with guns associated with "Bradon", or did these two rubes just happen to have the misfortune of meeting two different sets of gangsters within minutes of each other? That whole section of Wrightsboro and its surrounds is a most unappealing locale. Apartment complexes, convenience stores and pawn shops. A trash magnet, IOW.

Sounds crazy , but armed

Sounds crazy , but armed robbery trumps buying weed, and you can indeed be charged even though the other party was involved in illegal activity. An Army buddy of mine had his kid rob a drug dealer at a fair parking lot. He figured nobody cares if criminals rob other criminals, but he figured wrong, and got charged with armed robbery.
That said, following anyone when purchasing anything with cash (even legal purchases such as a used car or appliancees) is taking a chance.

Seems to me these 2 should be

Seems to me these 2 should be arrested for atempted purchase of a illegal drug. Wonder how much money they had on them when they got robbed. Washington Ga. is Wilkes County, Sandersville is Washington Co. Maybe these two should make a movie after all. "Country Boys come to the City." "Dumb just got Dumber."
