Three Augusta residents say thieves took $3,600 in cash

  • Follow Crime & courts

Three residents of the 3300 block of Milledgeville Road told deputies two black men pointed handguns at them and demanded money around 8 p.m., according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s report. The three victims gave over what they had.

The victims said the thieves drove off in a white vehicle and they fired two shots in the air while they were leaving. Officers did not find any shell casings.

I hope these three know that

I hope these three know that if you are on South Side with $3600 at night on a Saturday, people will except your donations. You should have waited at home until Sunday and put the money into church to help clean the violence in the area.

If you're walking around with

If you're walking around with $3600 cash, and two men just happen to pick you to rob, I suspect more than serendipity was at work here.

Most crime isn't random.
