Two cars in the parking lot of Electrolux, 2701 Washington Road, and one car in the lot of Whole Life Ministries, 2621 Washington Road, were entered about noon Wednesday.
According to Richmond County sheriff’s incident reports, security cameras at both locations recorded a male wearing a camouflage jacket and baseball cap searching the cars. A witness also saw the suspect searching the cars at Electrolux. Nothing was missing from two cars and unknown items were taken from the third vehicle.
Two of the cars were unlocked. The reports didn’t specify whether the third was locked.
Same parking lot as Fresh Market, which was robbed last week.
I wonder if you have nothing of value to steal in your car whether it is best to leave it unlocked? Rather than having your window busted out and pay a few hundred dollars for repair.
Watch the crime going up, up up. It's getting worse not better. Be prepared to defend what is yours and your family. Get a gun, plenty of ammo & learn how to use it.
raul, you make a good point. Where I used to live, it had become commonplace for car break-ins. My husband's truck was broken into with the window being broken out. I never kept anything of value in my car and didn't lock the doors. 4 times over about 8 months, my car would have been rummaged through when I would go out in the morning. I felt that leaving it unlocked was best since there was nothing to steal anyway.

My GOB hubby had an Uncle who had a holster & gun on him at all times...... He was in his 90s....they had lived in Southwest Atlanta for over 60 years....needless to say the neighbors didn't mess with him...he couldn't hear or see worth a flip so actually some were scared to even approach him...he was a character.....thankfully he never had to shoot anyone!!
