A man was shot in the shoulder after being robbed while walking to his aunt’s house Monday night.

Around 9 p.m., Shawn Christopher Early, 33, left work at Villa Europa at 3044 Deans Bridge Road. He hadn’t gotten far when two black males stopped him and tried to start up a conversation, said Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Calvin Chew.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and asked Early for money. When Early handed over cigarettes and a cellphone, the man shot him in the right arm, just below the shoulder.

Chew said Early was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition, but will require surgery.

The shooter was described as a black male, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, and wearing dark clothing.

Don't you just hate these

Don't you just hate these thieving, cowardly little punks who are too stupid to make it in the real world. Can you imagine how pitiful it is to admit to yourself that you are too stupid to earn a living so you have to go out and prey on some respectable person that is earning a living and is 100 times more of a man than they are. So here you go judges. Two more candidates for your probation kickback scheme if they ever get caught. I'm sure you've met them before.

He gave him all his stuff and still got shot, let's all remember this... Thank God the victim is still alive. Looks like the robber's may just start killing witnesses, again. Time for an attitude adjustment...

6 ft. 185 lbs. and the best

6 ft. 185 lbs. and the best you can do is shoot an unarmed man after he gave you all he had? That is as cowardly as you can be, what a miserable waste of life.
