Three men robbed an Augusta man at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.

Donald Mathis, of the 1700 block of Essie McIntyre Boulevard, told police the men had knocked on his door about 2 p.m. When he answered, they pushed their way inside his apartment and demanded money, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report.

One of the men had a black pistol, was wearing all black clothing, was heavy set and had a gap between his front teeth. The second was wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans and the third wore a camouflage jacket. Mathis said all three were black males, 20 to 25 years old.

The report said Mathis gave them about $130 in cash and the men fled toward Olive Road on foot.
